A Class in a Box

All kids need is a little help, a little hope and somebody who believes in them. The ‘A Class in a Box’ program aims to help underprivileged children in India receive the education and love they deserve at a young age.

So if you have any old books and toys that are unused, don't throw them away! Donate it to our A Class in a Box instead and you have now given hope to our seeds of today, who will one day grow to be the flowers of tomorrow.bell & ross replica watches

What?

A program created to collect used children books & toys for under privileged children, mainly "Nagariya " for a small village near Kalan. The aim is to bring joy and provide literacy & education to the children, empowering them to break the cycle of poverty.

Do you know that ‘One in every two Nagariya under poverty line'. Nearly half of the 200 Nagariya households (or 1000 people) were living below the poverty line. Of these, about 265 households (26%) were considered to be hardcore poor. They are mainly located in Nagariya.

How?

At the same time, drop your name card and get a free Samarpan Trust's postcard. You can write a personal encouragement message and the postcard will be delivered together with the books and toys to the children. You will also automatically be Samarpan Trust’s member.

Who?

A Class in a Box is created and operated by Samarpan Trust. Samarpan Trust is a registered non-profit organisation started by a group of volunteers. The whole program is managed through the spirit of volunteerism. This program is funded by Samarpan Trust and our generous sponsors. We acknowledge all sponsors by featuring them separately in our 4 different "tree house" boxes. Not forgetting all the volunteers that have contributed unselfishly to the whole program. Samarpan Trust is also collaborating with The Star – Do Good Volunteers, calling for more volunteers to make this program a success.

When?

A Class in a Box program is a one year project whereby 4 locations have been identified to host this program in alternate month, starting from Jan 2017. The duration for collection is one month per location. The box is uniquely designed to a symbolic "tree house" and built with mainly recycled material. There will be 6 different designs, unique to each location. After the completion of one month of collection in each location, the "tree house" will be donated to orphanage as a play house for the children.
